Privacy Policy
LoanWhale helps you compare personal and home loans from Singapore banks. This page explains what information the app collects, why, and the choices you have.
1. Overview
LoanWhale is a demo application built to showcase a loan-comparison experience. It is not a licensed financial institution, does not process real loan disbursements or repayments, and does not submit your information to any bank.
The app still asks you to create an account and enter information so the product can be demonstrated end to end, so we explain our data handling in full below.
2. Information we collect

We do not collect your NRIC, income documents, bank account numbers, or credit information. The application flow is a demonstration and does not require them.
3. About document uploads
- The app reads only the file name of what you select, to show a "Received" confirmation.
- The file itself is never uploaded, transmitted, or stored. Nothing leaves your device.
- You can change or remove a selected file at any time.
4. How we use information
- Authenticating you and keeping you signed in
- Showing your own applications on the Status screen
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond running these features.
5. Sharing and third parties
We do not sell your information and we do not share it with banks, lenders, or advertisers. Data is stored with our backend provider, Supabase, which processes it on our behalf under its own security and confidentiality obligations.
6. Data retention
Account and application data is kept for as long as your account exists. To have your account and data deleted, email us and we'll remove it, typically within 30 days.
7. Your choices and rights
- Cancel a submitted application at any time from the Status screen
- Request a copy of the data we hold about your account
- Request deletion of your account and all associated data
8. Children's privacy
LoanWhale is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page.
